The Junior Committee would like to take this opportunity in congratulating the following sides for their achievements this season.

Under 8's: Champions Crouch Spring Competition

Under 10's Bears: Champions Crouch Division

                                Runners-Up: Crouch League Cup

Under 11's: Champions Division 3

                     Runners-Up Division 3 League Cup

Under 15's: Champions Division 1 (subject to League Management confirmation)

                    Winners Knock-Out Cup

Congratulations to Bruno MacKenzie and his Under 8's side who won the Crouch Spring Competition unbeaten, dropping only one point. Last weekend the Under 8's played their last match against an unbeaten Thaxted Rangers and were 1-0 victors to snatch top spot.

Congratulations to Tony Grover and John Fryer and their Under 10's Bears side who reached the final of the Crouch League Cup for the second year running losing 1-2 to Gallow United Blades who scored their winner against the run of play and direct from a corner. They also became League Champions last weekend beating Southminster Youth 3-1 to take the title.

Congratulations to Andy Lowe and Danny Roach and their Under 11's who again reached the final of the Division 3 League Cup for the second year running but losing out 2-3 to White Notley after a replay, the first match ending 2-2. They also became League Champions last weekend when they met their close rivals White Notley. Going into the match knowing that a win would make them champions but losing would mean they would finish in third place, they were 3-2 victors.

Congratulations to Wayne King and Keith Bearman and their Under 15's side who reached the final of the Knock-Out Cup for the second year running beating Gallow United by a massive 9-0 making amends for their defeat in the semi-final of the League Cup to the same opponents. Although it seems just a formality waiting for the decision by the League Management Committee the Under 15's should be crowned Champions of the under 15's Division 1. Having their match against Heybridge Boys called off by their opponents the week before last and this week having their match against Valley Green United again called off by their opponents was a little disappointing for all concerned that they were not able to meet for their last match and gain the one point required to make them champions.

Lets not forget Dave Connelly and his Under 9's who showed a vast improvement towards the end of the seasonand have been playing well recently in some friendlies..

Andy Nunn and his Under 10's had a tough season in the Blackwater Division just avoiding relegation into what would be next seasons Division 2 for 11-a-side. Andy's side have had a couple of friendlies to see how his side coped with 11-a-side, the off-side etc and first signs are encouraging.

Martin Leno and Trevor Willsher and their Under 12's had a good season finishing fourth in a very strong Division 1. Last Sunday they neded to beat Notley Youth to finish in third place but could only manage a 2-2 draw. With a little piece of luck it could have been so different but Martin and Trevor are hoping the boys will be back for next season to finish the job.

Then we have Tina Wallace, Tony Williams and Terry Parlour and their Under 14's side struggled this season, mainly for players. But at the end of the season came up with two impressive victories to avoid relegation into Division 3.

On behalf of the Junior Committee we would like to thank all those parents that have helped in running the line, transport, washing the kit etc and their general support on match days, your support is priceless. THANK YOU.
